Obituary of Chester Anthony Stangert

Chester Anthony Stangert, age 95,died March 10, 2016 at Care One At Hamony Village in Moorestown, NJ. Chester was born August 18, 1920 to Anthony Carl and Anna Cecelia (Keubler) Stangert. Chester served in the Army in England during WW II. He was a plant layout Engineer at RCA in Camden, NJ. Besides his job, he had many other avocations. He raised his family in a home that he built in Mt Laurel. He renovated and old farmhouse into four apartments. He cultivated eight acres of land growing a variety of vegetables which he sold at a roadside stand. Chester and his wife traveled extensively to Europe, Asia, South America, The Holy Land, Egypt and to every state in the USA. Wherever he went, he always had a camera in his hand. He will be remembered for his generosity and his dogged determination to get the job done right. He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Matilda C.(Mayer) Stangert .Father of Katherine ( George) Whitehouse, Joseph Stangert and Peter ( Patricia Rohan ) Stangert and the late Anthony Chester Stangert. Grandfather of Jean Marie ( Robert ) Bovello and Anthony Kenneth Stangert. Great Grandfather of Katrina, Trisden and Kyra Bovello and many nieces and nephews.
