He is predeceased by his parents, John Rapacki and Mary Rapacki. Two grandsons, Joseph Amatrudo , Raymond Amatrudo,

a son in-law Raymond G. Amatrudo and his beloved wife of 67 years, Shirley.

Thomas is the cherished father of four, Thomas W. Rapacki, Jr., Karan Ferrara, Shari Amatrudo and Lisa Rapacki.

He was the proud and loving grandfather to Bradford Meyers, Anthony Ferrara, Joshua (Dana) Spatz, Bryan Amatrudo and Samantha Ferrara.

Great grandfather of four, Destiny, Aiden, Airiana and Eugene.

Thomas was a New Yorker at heart, but 63-year resident of Camden County, N.J.  A man who was dedicated and always determined to make a difference to his community. Thomas served on the Camden County Board of Education, ran for Freeholder seat as well as running for the Office of Mayor of Camden, N.J. He was a 32nd degree Masons well as President of the Rosedale Civic Association. He raised money and sponsored many little leagues over the years.   Thomas was instrumental in the construction of the two round schools in Camden, N.J.

Also played an integral part in the Vocational addition to Camden High School as well as the Building of Camden County Vocation and Technical School in Sicklerville, N.J.

He was a Camden County business owner who cared for his customers and always there to help them out, even cut them a break.

A kind, caring and generous man who was loved and liked by all who met him.

He continued in local politics by attending Council meetings and making sure his voice was heard to better his community up until 2016, when his beloved wife took ill and had to be placed in a Nursing Facility. Where he then began his daily ritual of sitting by her side from 9 to 5 daily until Covid hit.

In his spare time, he enjoying painting, reading and family time. Thomas’, Dad’s, Grandpop’s humor will be missed by us all.

His ability to always have a joke ready and tell it with his huge smile always made family and friends laugh when in his presence.

I think he felt it was his job to make sure everyone laughed to brighten their day.

In true Thomas fashion. His wish is to not have a fuss made over him. Therefore, no services will be held to honor his wish.
