Thomas served on the Camden County Board of Education, ran for Freeholder seat as well as running for the Office of Mayor of Camden, N.J. He was a 32nd degree Masons well as President of the Rosedale Civic Association. He raised money and sponsored many little leagues over the years. He was a Camden County business owner who cared for his customers and always there to help them out, even cut them a break.
A kind, caring and generous man who was loved and liked by all who met him.
He continued in local politics by attending Council meetings and making sure his voice was heard to better his community up until 2016, when his beloved wife took ill and had to be placed in a Nursing Facility. Where he then began his daily ritual of sitting by her side from 9 to 5 daily until Covid hit.
In his spare time, he enjoying painting, reading and family time. Thomas’, Dad’s, Grandpop’s humor will be missed by us all.
His ability to always have a joke ready and tell it with his huge smile always made family and friends laugh when in his presence.
I think he felt it was his job to make sure everyone laughed to brighten their day.
In true Thomas fashion. His wish is to not have a fuss made over him. Therefore, no services will be held to honor his wish.
