Geraldine Inman (nee Brummer) of Marlton, NJ passed away on April 28th at the age of 77. Geri battled bladder cancer for more than a decade and suffered from vascular dementia in her later years. She died peacefully surrounded by family at a skilled nursing facility in Cherry Hill, NJ, where she resided for two years with her surviving husband, Daniel E. Inman.
Geri is also survived by her children Salvatore (Bud) Nicosia of Deptford, NJ, Lori of Southern NJ and Dana Watson of Audubon, NJ; her stepchildren, Ellen Yedlowski of Gibbsboro, NJ and Kathleen Thomas of Wisconsin; her nine grandchildren Melanie Interdonato of Daytona, FL, Jacqueline Copeland of Tuscon, AZ, Forrest Burns of Cushing, ME, Cameron Burns of Haddon Township, NJ, Sandy Smith of Audubon, NJ, Melissa Nicosia of Stratford, NJ, and Devon, Kyle and Connor Thomas of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; four great-grandchildren Layla, Xavier, Riley and Nicky. She was also survived by her sister Gayle of Cape May, NJ. We are saddened that she will not have the opportunity to enjoy her 5th great grandchild due in August of this year.
Geri was born on December 8, 1939 in Camden, NJ and was raised in the Fairview section, graduating from Camden HS in 1958. She worked for nearly 30 years as a meat wrapper in supermarkets throughout southern NJ, including the former Shop N Bag on Brace Rd in Cherry Hill, and Shop-Rite of Delran, NJ. In later years, she provided tax services for clients of H&R Block, worked as a crossing guard for the Evesham Township schools and sought out several unique entrepreneur opportunities.
Geri was considered to be a social butterfly, enjoying outings with friends, casino trips, cruises, bingo games, card games and frequenting diners. She was the zodiac sign of Sagittarius and often shared her joy of astrology with family and friends. She was an avid amateur artist, completing more than a dozen 'Bob Ross' paintings of tranquil nature scenes.
A celebration of Geri's life will be held on Saturday May 13th 1-2PM at Eichel Funeral Home 8323 Maple Ave Pennsauken NJ. Memorial Service at 2pm. Interment Private.
